FAQs
My Computer is running slow\crashing or is unresponsive?
There could be several different reasons for this, one thing you can try which is reversible if it doesn’t work is system restore. This is built into windows, it restores your computer to as it was on certain date in the past but you do not lose any work you have done in the meantime. This can be found under the start button, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.
I think I have a virus
Open up your antivirus program, update it and then run a full system scan removing anything that it finds. If you do not have any antivirus software on your machine, go onto google and search for AVG free edition (This is only free for home users and a basic product, please enquire for more information).
Follow the instructions to download and install this product to check
your machine for any virus infections.
My broadband internet connection is
not working\slow
Find your broadband router and take the power lead out, leave it out for 30secs and then reconnect it. It will now take about 5 minutes to come back on, in the meantime there is no harm in restarting your computer.
My Computer has frozen
If your mouse won’t move or shutting your computer down using the usual start button, shut down doesn’t work. Then you can shut the machine down by pushing and holding the power button in for 10-30secs. You can then turn it back on as usual and see what happens, several times it will come back on fine. If it persists or you are unsure please contact us for support.
